Abstract: Abstract This section makes a case for a new epistemology of game theory that frees it from the burden of attempting to come up with mathematical proofs of immutable social realities. It argues that all of social science is an act of persuasion, not of proof, and game theory should be viewed as part of a toolkit that also includes facts, statistical analyses and stories.
