Abstract:
Abstract Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is a region of striking socio-economic and demographic diversities. There are enormous variations between and within countries in the epidemiologic transition, basic socio-economic and demographic indicators. For instance, rural sub-Saharan Africa is at an earlier stage of economic and health transition than the urban settings.
