Abstract:
Abstract After the establishment of the Tokugawa shinpai system, discussed in the preceding chapter, the Qing empire had to face the problem of how to respond to it. Based mainly on previous studies, this section will first give a brief outline of the copper supply system in China, which in the Qing dynasty was called the Copper Administration (tongzheng 銅政).
