Abstract:
Abstract Chinese domination This chapter gives an outline of the sites both within Vietnam and abroad where ceramics of the Lê dynasty early period are found, and through a comparison with those ceramics found in the Vân Đồn region, in addition to pointing out the improvement in ceramic production technology that stood as backdrop to the golden age of ceramics export experienced by Đại Việt, considerations are made of the background conditions to that trade, and to the role of the port of Vân Đồn.
