Abstract: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) has become a foundation for service development and for Software-as-a-Service. Essential part of SOA is SOA Governance. This article focuses on the definition of a comprehensive SOA governance model. The SOA governance model addresses service governance, business document governance, service migration, service portfolio management, service ownership, service version management, and service funding model. It provides detailed description of requires activities, principles and objectives. The SOA governance model has been verified on real-world projects, where it has fulfilled the governance objectives.
