Influence of Interactivity on Motivation and Efficacy of Engineering Students in Project Management Courses

Abstract: This paper presents a research on adopting a blended-learning framework in the Project Management course, which was offered for engineering students of different disciplines, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Blended learning was applied in the course by adopting a set of e-learning materials (such as interview videos and lecture presentations available to be downloaded), tutorial materials (case studies, exercises, questions for group discussions and a project) and post-lecture quizzes. This paper focuses on tutorial materials and quizzes which were supposed to increase students’ interactivity and, as a result, their motivation towards learning.
