Network Structures in Knowledge-Based Economy

Abstract: This article presents the essence of network organization and how it naturally fits into knowledgebased economy. The author explores the key characteristics of network structure highlighting the benefits to the organization from cooperating within a network. Furthermore, network structure's advantages and disadvantages are presented. Finally, the need for cooperation in knowledge and innovation networks in the new economy is addressed.
