Effectiveness of Legal Instruments of Limiting Discrimination in Employment

Abstract: Unequal treatment in employment is an important issue for both employers and employees. Because of the negative social consequences of this phenomenon, it is important to recognize legal measures to counteract discrimination and to evaluate their effectiveness. The article presents an in-depth analysis of legal regulations in Poland and the European Union and anti-discrimination practices in organizations. Author evaluate according to available statistical data the effectiveness of legal protection for equal treatment of employees. The conducted analysis revealed the opportunities of reduction the negative effects of this phenomenon. The article identified main directions for improvement of instruments to prevent discrimination in employment.
