Abstract:
The main purpose of this research paper is to identify the key factors that influence the economic sustainability of manufacturing enterprises in Thailand. The identified factors can help enterprises integrate economic sustainability measures into their current business performance and achieve one side of triple bottom line. The factors are determined by reviewing international sustainability standards and frameworks literature as the primarily qualitative synthesis as the fundamental step of the research process. The sample group is based on the certified client database of the Management System Certification Institute (MASCI) under the Ministry of Industry of Thailand. Feedback from 225 questionnaires were analyzed by second order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Using the CFA technique, the empirical data demonstrated a good fit with the proposed factors.
