Abstract:
A change in the job market has been noticed recently, switching from employer-oriented job market into employee-oriented one. More and more frequently students tend to take up employment during their studies in form of odd jobs, internships or professional trainings. Factors affecting future job satisfaction, and thus willingness to perform it, are diverse. Some people may be motivated by high income, whereas others care more about good work atmosphere or company’s market position. The aim of this paper is to analyze expectations of students of economic studies regarding job market. This paper has been written based on survey results, which was carried out among students from Faculty of Economics at UMCS in Lublin. The results will provide answers on the subject of students’ expectations towards future employers.
