Abstract:
Maria Curie - Sklodowska University is the largest university in Lublin, where educated currently almost 22,000 students. Most of them live in areas outside of Lublin and they have to rent flat in this city. The authors of this article analyse how the basic factors - the attractiveness of the announcement, the cost, the distance from the university, the standard, the legal conditions - affect the decision on the choice of place of residence. For this purpose the survey was conducted to identify the most important determinants that guide the students when choosing an apartment. The study provides an excellent implication for different audiences, in particular those offering rental apartments.
