Abstract: The world has been transformed into a global village. Globalization is having a major impact not only on the business world but also on the whole humanity. Global rising levels of youth unemployment and inequality, globalization and virtualization of business models, the explosive growth of online communications and education diversity system increasing intercultural contacts and migration will place enormous pressure on educational institutions, students, teachers and researchers. The paper tries to explain the concept of Intercultural Education and role of Intercultural Education for becoming global citizens. The paper tries to explore the challenges for Intercultural Education in the age of globalization and equipping students with critical thinking, creativity and communication skills to become global citizens in the age of diversity.. The paper also tries to explore the process of value creation of students for creating global citizens and learning to be fully human in 21st century. The main aim of Intercultural Education is creating process of value creation for learning for global citizens and to make the world a more equitable and sustainable place in 21st century.
