Abstract: One of many critical challenges facing private firms today includes human capital risk. Low birthrate, business competitiveness, and qualified workforce have led to public-private partnership in TVET; particularly, the development of work-integrated learning and training programs in many countries. Given more active engagement in TVET by large conglomerate, vocational schools need to gradually adapt to the changes in their roles and responsibilities. Technical training, development of soft and life skills for students, student counselling, student development plan, joint evaluation, open communication, and financial support are part of the dynamics for contemporary TVET.
