Abstract: Slovenia, as many countries around the globe, is participating in IEA and OECD international large-scale student assessments continuously. Besides core knowledge and competences that are measured in those assessments, instruments collect a lot of background information. In our presentation we will focus on some of those. In particular, since public debate about educational system in Slovenia in early 2019 raised interest in school overload of our pupils/students, the presentation will show if this is the case or not. For this purpose we will use data for Slovenia as well as for other countries.
