Abstract: Discussion topics and thematic directions of the Scientific conference with international participation: (1) Commodity science in modern society, (2) Quality and safety management of goods, (3) Innovation and competitiveness, (4) Sustainable development and consumption, (5) Consumer protection. The proceedings present reports on: creation and 75 years of department of the department and specialty "commodity science" in Áulgaria; modern approaches to traceability during the shelf life of confectioneryproducts; dental services quality management in conformity with regulatory requirements and standard iso 9001:2015; regulatory mechanisms for enhanced customs control on the entry of high-risk goods; historical aspects and actuality of the training at "commodity science" program at University of economics-Varna; study of the possibilities of implementing a modern approach to enhance the safety and quality of foods and raw materials in the food chain; challenges to the outpatient care quality; improvement of textile materials consumer properties through the usage of natural dyes from waste of coniferous plain; innovative and sustainable production of yellow pea protein concentrates; meat and meat products as sources of parasitic infections for 2012-2021; sewage sludge from wastewater treatment plants (wwtp) - management practices and prospects for their use in agriculture; sensory characteristics of innovative healthy crackers enriched with industrial waste products from tomato processing; integrating quality management in secondary education with simulation games: a business case learning approach; unfair commercial practices – counteractionand consumer protection; molecular gastronomy and its affect of food quality; demand and supply of health services; standards for sustainable management systems: mapping of leading iso standards to support their implementation in the bulgarian context; consumer trust in organic food; the textile industry in Bulgaria; stone fruits` quality requirements; sustainable food consumption and food waste: the case of recreation center in Ravda; the evaluation of management systems and its effect on the quality of products/services – current issues and trends; pomegranate waste utilization – some current aspects; some current trends in jackfruit waste utilization: a brief overview; digital business process management in logistics and supply chain; challenges for the agri-food sector to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
