Abstract: Der Wohnungsmarkt hat sich in Österreich in den letzten Jahren in kurzer Zeit grundlegend gewandelt. Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert die geänderten Rahmenbedingungen der Wohnungsnachfrage in den neunziger Jahren und berechnete den gesamten Bedarf an Wohnbauinvestitionen bis zum Jahr 2000 unter verschiedenen Annahmen neu. Sie geht besonders auf den ökonomischen Erneuerungsbedarf ein.
