99th Euroconstruct Conference: European Construction Market Outlook until 2027 – Political and Economic Uncertainty Slows European Construction Recovery. Summary Report

Euroconstruct

in WIFO Studies from WIFO

Abstract: The 99th Euroconstruct Summer Forecast sketches a cautiously optimistic picture for the construction sector in Europe from 2025 to 2027, following a challenging period. Improved financing conditions, easing inflation and renewed EU investment are expected to reverse the recent downward trend, with modest growth predicted across major markets. However, the outlook for residential construction remains negative in 2025, while the markets of non-residential construction and specifically civil engineering are expected to expand. Moderate growth in the main construction sectors is forecast for 2026 and 2027. With contributions from Anne-Sophie Alsif, Roch-Eloi Grivet, Nathalie Kouassi, Pascal Marlier, Mariusz Sochacki, Adam Sochacki, Antonella Stemperini.
