Chapter 24 in Financial Transformations Beyond the COVID-19 Health Crisis, 2022, pp 697-727 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
The world has been changing long before the onset of the economic and financial crisis related to COVID-19. However, the pandemic precipitated the setting in motion of several events: economic and financial crises, social and political tensions, and ecological transition. The digital transformation in companies is reshaping the finance landscape. Not only businesses and organizations but also the academic world and researchers are affected by the changes. Disruption in the finance generates both challenges and opportunities. The authors put forward recommendations and research lines, inspired by both literature and existing practices, to highlight finance transformation.
