Abstract:
This chapter describes the role of financing in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The achievement of SDGs is an ongoing concern for the Millennium Development Goals, although the financial structure and sustainable investment projects are closely aligned with the SDGs. Our research provides useful insights into the fact that the dynamics of finance can be leveraged to close gaps and address the SDG challenges. Despite financial laws, financial structural difficulties have persisted in several countries from diverse regions over the years. These problems became more adverse during the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring greater attention toward resolution. This chapter contributes to the existing literature by shedding light on global economies through theoretical and practical analysis. We believe that such significant insights would guide the financial sector and regulators to achieve the SDGs, particularly in emerging economies.
