Abstract:
Since the 1970s, the world has been swept up in a wave of economic liberalization. The financial sector is no exception, particularly the economic liberalization of several developing countries, the scope, extent and speed of which constitutes some of the most dazzling of international economic policy changes. In the financial sector, financial liberalization is primarily based on the theory of financial deepening. In this chapter, we will introduce the theory of financial deepening and the basic content of financial liberalization.
