Chapter 3 in Health Microinsurance:Implementing Universal Health Coverage in the Informal Sector, 2020, pp 31-55 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
Understanding the local needs of a community lays the foundation for the launch of a microinsurance scheme. The baseline study must precede the operational processes of presenting different options of benefits packages to the community. This chapter discusses the relevance of a baseline study, its objectives, and the stages involved in planning and conducting the study.
