Information Technology Issues in Poland

Abstract: In this chapter, the top issues related to information technology (IT) professionals and organizations in Poland are reported. A survey was conducted with the instrument provided by the World IT Project (Palvia et al., 2017; Palvia et al., 2018). Included in this chapter are challenges of IT in Poland, specifically organizational IT issues, technological and infrastructural concerns and, finally, individual IT employee issues. The top three organizational issues for IT employees are: Knowledge management, IT reliability and efficiency, and Security and privacy. The top three technology issues are: networks/ telecommunications, software as a service, and mobile and wireless applications. Furthermore, the IT employees are highly satisfied with their jobs and feel secure in the profession.
