Abstract: More than half a billion Muslim women are living in 45 Muslim majority countries and more than 30 countries have a significant Muslim minority population. “Muslim women aged between 15 to 64 make [up] about 8% of the world’s total population.” Muslim women and girls of all ages make up approximately 12% of the world’s 7.3 billion population as of 2015 (Enriquez, 2016). According to Pew Research Center projections, “Muslims are the fastest-growing religious group in the world” (Lipka, 2017).
