Chapter 4 in Start-up Thailand:The Entrepreneurs' Journey, 2020, pp 39-49 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
The transition of Sappe, a Thai food and beverage company with a global presence, from a small-scale traditional Thai snack manufacturer reflects a constant striving for innovation and the desire of the founders to enter the new sectors. When one of their sons attended a food science conference, it provided the inspirational springboard for the move, in spite of a relatively small marketing budget. The firm has since entered the growing health and beauty beverage sector, where it has continued to prosper in a very short space of time, eventually listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2014. In fact, Chief Operating Officer, Arnupap Ruckariyapong, emphasises the importance of public listing and the building blocks of its new culture to the sustainability and success of third, fourth, and future generations.
