Abstract:
Prices trend up or down in every market. Within the bigger picture trend there are also smaller trends to be found. A strategy to trade with the overall general trend is the standard approach but it is also possible to trade against it, long or short. This is called fading the trend. There are many opportunities to trade these inner trends on an intraday basis using shorter time frames or smaller range bar charts. This switching from a long-side to a short-side trade is also associated with a Stop and Reverse strategies. This should not be confused with the SAR indicator.
