Chapter 1 in Overcoming Crisis:Case Studies of Asian Multinational Corporations, 2023, pp 3-14 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
Japanese cuisine has conquered the world in the last decade and is considered a symbol of style and taste. Nonetheless, Western-style fast food is very popular in Japan. In fact, Japan has been witnessing a battle between national and foreign fast-food restaurants for a long while. Western brands are some of the toughest players in the market that are rapidly innovating and finding new consumption habits among the Japanese people to provide them their own “tailor-made” offerings. One of those companies is Domino’s Pizza Japan, which is aggressively expanding in Japan.
