Saaskylaana Kalitina

Chapter 15 in Overcoming Crisis:Case Studies of Asian Multinational Corporations, 2023, pp 221-233 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: Gaming is one of the most rapidly developing industries at the moment. COVID-19 pandemic only accelerated the growth of the market, which is now projected to generate $180.3 billion in revenue and attract three billion players worldwide in 2021 (Wijman, 2021). Almost half of the earth’s population is playing games and the market is still evolving and changing. One of the major recent developments is the cemented dominance of mobile gaming. An impressive number of 2.8 billion players generating half of the industry’s revenue is estimated to play on their mobile devices, although they might also use other platforms simultaneously (Takahashi, 2021a).
