Abstract: Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) Group incorporated the “JAL Vision 2030” in 2021 as part of its management plan and continued with efforts to transform JAL into a global airline and develop new products ahead of rivals and achieve sustainable growth. In efforts to achieve their goal, the company initiated a project named CIEL, meaning “sky” in French, to construct a new cloud platform that will enable them to modernize the system used in different JAL Group businesses, such as aircraft management, aircraft maintenance, and passenger service (Amazon, 2021). Today’s business environment is continually changing at a fast rate and staying ahead of the competition necessitates adaptability and agility, which is why rapid changes require rapid actions and solutions as the quote suggests. In response to those global changes in the airline industry, JAL has an ambition to be the most selected and loved airline by passengers in the world (CAPA, 2021)…
