Abstract:
The interest of this chapter focuses on corporate governance issues and current relevant developments in the international and Greek landscape. For this reason, the relevant issues are examined at both the theoretical and practical levels. The objective of this chapter is to examine and evaluate the new legal framework of corporate governance in Greece and to identify the main functions it integrates into corporate practice. The aim of this work is to study the practices that are applied in the application of the new law and differentiate them in relation to the Environment-Social-Governance (ESG) framework. Through this analysis, there is a scope to clarify the possible interventions of the law at the different levels of its interference in corporate practices. As part of the above, literature review on corporate governance issues and the main trends emerging in academic research is also carried out.
