Thuy Thu Dang, Hau Trung Nguyen and Xuan Trung Nguyen

Chapter 2 in The Vietnamese Economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, 2026, pp 29-55 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: The chapter focuses on the relationship between social performance and the profit of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Vietnam from 2011 to 2016. The authors collect data through statistics of Vietnamese MFIs and the information in the MIX market. Using the ordinary least square (OLS), the results show that social performance positively impacts the profit of MFIs in Vietnam. Thus, the authors concentrate on the solutions, which aim at increasing the assessment of MFIs in the future.
