Chapter 15 in Climate-Smart Innovation:Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development in the Environmental Economy, 2023, pp 235-252 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
The global ecology and the global economy are inseparable. The natural environment is basically the source and proto-resource of the global economy, while environmental conditions are the factors of purely economic consumption or production, investment attractiveness, or innovative capacity. On the other hand, the enormous possibilities of the global economy increasingly “dilute” the concept of environmental and economic feasibility, thus mainstreaming the issue of ensuring future environmental sustainability and security of current resources and sources of boosting economic growth these days. Based on statistics, the chapter analyzes trends of national economic growth facilitated through predatory and unreasonable consumption of natural resources. The chapter offers conclusions on effective tools to ensure long-term economic progress with a priority on greening manufacturing and commercialization processes.
