Abstract: Firstly, no good exclusive just lands on your lap. You would have had to build relationships with contacts or position yourself in such a manner that a whistleblower might trust you with the valued information you want. So the genesis of such stories would have started in the past. You can think of a journalist’s resources in the same way you might any balance sheet – whether you expend them on operating costs to produce something for today’s news or invest them as assets for potential harvest in the future…
