Abstract: The notion of digital disruption is often thought of as a form of environmental turmoil caused by digital innovation which results in the erosion of existing boundaries and a significant reduction in efficacy of organizational approaches that had previously served as fundamentals for capturing and delivering customer value. As a consequence, digital disruption often holds a negative connotation for leaders who view it as an attack on their existing business model. In fact, the change brought about by digital disruption is only negative when leaders choose to ignore the impending transformation within their industry or try to contest them head-on in a futile attempt at halting the revolution within their industry. Rather than create chaos and turmoil, digital disruption has been found by astute leaders who embrace it to be immensely beneficial for their businesses, leading to their continued success…
