Chapter 7 in Women Entrepreneurs in the Middle East:Context, Ecosystems, and Future Perspectives for the Region, 2024, pp 107-140 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
Some nations are secular in that they have a separation between church and state, while others have declared themselves to be Christian states, and yet others are Islamic states. There is only one Jewish state though, and that is Israel, the subject of this chapter. Jewish women have continuously lived in Israel, before either Christianity or Islam was established. The Virgin Mary was among them. In Israel today, women entrepreneurs are very active and the ecosystem encourages women entrepreneurship.
