Abstract: Back in 1993, when Peter Buckley and I published our first edition of The Internationalization of the Firm: A Reader, where we did a chronological review of the development of the international business field, some colleagues pointed out that we had missed Yair Ahroni’s work. I had never met Yair at that time and was not familiar with his work. Peter, however, was familiar with his work and knew Yair well. The book was a big success and was soon a must-read for PhD students and younger colleagues in international business. The publisher started talking to us about the next edition after a couple of years and we started thinking about it, also remembering that we had to get Yair’s work in the next volume…
