Mindfulness Practices and Their Essentiality for Teachers

Chapter 25 in Market Dynamics and Strategies in a Post-Crisis World:Navigating a World in Flux, 2025, pp 353-360 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: Every human has a desire to be a successful individual in life. However, is it possible to acquire victory without encountering obstacles? I guess the answer is no. Why would we spend hours together getting annoyed about things only to finally end up with nothing? Our workplace is a fast-paced, annoying environment. The teaching environment is likewise, and no longer an exception to it. Being a facilitator, one has to play diverse roles, including those of a motivator, mentor, and guide, and one has to continually strive to become a superior version of oneself. The teacher must have a great awareness of the current needs, considering the pandemic era and online teaching practices. In addition, they must have the best of high-quality reinforcement qualities, which can motivate students to learn new things. These countless anticipated requirements create process dissatisfaction, job fatigue, and burnout, and they decrease occupational commitment. Various research studies have proved that if one can practice mindfulness, it can lead to better outcomes at work and even for oneself. This is an attempt to evaluate whether or not mindfulness practices enhance teaching quality and reduce perceived stress.
