Abstract: Since 1840, in order to seek overseas markets, raw materials for industrial production, and suitable investment places, the Powers forced China to gradually open up, and a series of modern economic systems were steadily established. In order to strive for their own best interests, the Powers launched fierce competitions in China. The change of forces of various countries gradually formed a political and economic equilibrium in China. China’s modern economy and foreign trade developed slowly under the control of Western countries. However, since then, China’s political and economic balance was broken because Japan launched a full aggression against China, and China’s foreign trade and economic development were forced to proceed in chaos and turmoil…
