Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter explores the potential of an electronic mentoring system to foster the development of knowledge. The system was developed to provide performance guidance and/or feedback. The impact of the tool on learners' knowledge and performance was tested empirically in the judgmental decision-making task context. The results indicate that guided learners tended to make smaller decision errors than their feedback counterparts. These results suggest that future knowledge management initiatives need to consider these forms of interactive learning systems in response to environment pressures for faster and more effective learning.
