Chapter 12 in Knowledge Management:Through the Technology Glass, 2005, pp 189-205 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter addresses a gaming approach to KM. The gaming approach has been suggested as a good way to explore the utilisation of KM systems in varying decision tasks, environments and decisionmakers. Lessons learned from a series of empirical studies provide a strong support for the contingent view of KM systems utilisation. The findings suggest that there is no “no one size fits all” prescription, but rather a key component of KM is the identification of the context and choosing of the appropriate KM system for that context.
