Abstract: AbstractBased on a field study conducted in the retail industry, this paper examines the impacts and the potential benefits generated by an RFID application in a warehousing environment. Through a detailed investigation of the underlying business processes, we will demonstrate how process optimization can be achieved when integrating RFID technology.
