Abstract:
AbstractAmid the momentum of digital convergence taking place in Korea, both between fixed and mobile networks and at the industry level, the portable Internet is quickly emerging as a leading next-generation communications service. To increase its odds for success, the portable Internet service must meet potential users' needs and deliver the kind of benefits they expect, and correspond to related preference factors and patterns of usage. In this paper, we forecast the demand for the portable Internet service, based on the results of a consumer survey, and conduct an in-depth investigation of adoption factors, to provide strategic suggestions for improving market prospects for this service.
