Chapter 10 in Challenges in the Management of New Technologies, 2007, pp 135-144 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: AbstractCustomers are demanding lower prices, a larger range of products and faster product innovation. Despite steady streams of advanced technologies developed to support product development many companies find it difficult to achieve the full potential of these as practical advices on selecting and implementing new technology are rare (Boer and Krabbendam, 1998). On the basis of case studies within the highly competitive fashion business the aim of this paper is to present strategic as well as practical aspects on how a company can improve time to market of styling objects (optical frames).
