Abstract:
AbstractA method for correcting interpoint distances before projecting on a lower dimensional space is presented in this paper. The basic idea is to change the distances according to the distribution of distances in high dimensional areas. Such corrections increase the quality of mapping: they distinguish the clusters of data points. The data structure after projection is more precise in this case. The proposed corrections are simple enough; the values of the correction coefficients were calculated for various data dimensionalities.
