Abstract:
AbstractA new method of multicriteria alternatives ranking adapted to the possibilities and limitations of human information processing system is presented in the paper. On the basis of decision maker preferences, the estimations on discrete, ordinal scales of criteria are ordered on a joint scale. The pair-wise comparison of multicriteria alternatives is constructed with the help of this joint ordinal scale. There are three possible outputs of alternative comparison: preference, indifference and incomparability. A new approach of estimation of a decisive power for such decision rule is given. The comparison of quantitative and qualitative methods of measurements in decision analysis is done.
