Chapter 9 in E-Business in the 21st Century:Realities, Challenges and Outlook, 2009, pp 255-273 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: AbstractFollowing assumptions from the literature, in e-business scenarios, critical mass winners are destined for lasting progress and firm success. But the real life teaches another lesson. Apparently successful market leaders are frequently challenged by various inconveniences with the potential to jeopardize their market position. Due to occurring quantitative, qualitative and legal problems, a market is never settled. The chapter shows how a successful management can deal with the issue of oscillating degrees of utilization, in particular how to avoid ending up in a vicious circle and how to enhance the probability of initiating a virtuous circle to superior market success.
