Abstract:
In this chapter, I will introduce the basic technique of calculus, theory of differentiation, integration, and unconstrained maximization. I will also present some fixed point theorems and the Berge maximum theorem and consider such economic applications as theory of the firm, consumer theory, and game theory. I will start with describing some simple sets of real numbers.
