Abstract: This study provides a thorough overview as well as examines various ecosystems and analytical capabilities existing in the Asia Pacific region from the viewpoint of an international reinsurer. This is achieved through a combination of (1) high-level market watch and trends analysis and (2) company-specific due diligence in order to explore the potential for a strategic partnership with the reinsurer. Some existing and some potential applications of said data is described in order to evaluate its relevance to the underwriting business in the (re)insurance industry.
