Abstract:
The following sections are included:Data were collected from two surveys, each of 300 randomly selected households drawn from a community-based health insurance (CBHI) project sample of 3,685 households.The awareness campaign resulted in a significant increase both in awareness (34%) and in preventive practices (48%).The awareness campaigns were part of a larger project carried out by Micro Insurance Academy, New Delhi, India, that included the launch of three CBHI schemes.
