Abstract:
“The future will not be what will happen, but what we will do,” wrote Bergson. We need to take the initiative for change in a world of many interactions. The realities, as we have seen, are not fragmented and linear; mechanical images are no longer sufficient to obtain a satisfactory representation of our world. Food is not only the fuel that allows our bodies to function and agricultural commodities are not just the crude oil from which they are extracted. What we are going to do can no longer look like mechanics; we must now reconsider the subject by placing it in the biosphere. What we are going to do is complex and living; to change, we will have to innovate and intensify research…
