DYNAMIC GAMES IN ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS
Ngo Long
Chapter 2 in A Survey of Dynamic Games in Economics, 2010, pp 35-70 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
AbstractEnvironmental quality (particularly water pollution, airborne particles, soil degradation, and climate change) has increasingly become a major concern. Dynamic models of pollution control appeared in the 1970s (Keeler et al., 1971; Forster, 1972, 1973; Gruver, 1976; Brock, 1977). These models did not consider game-theoretic issues, which often have important consequences. This chapter surveys recent developments in game-theoretic analyses of environmental issues in a dynamic context.
